Lawrence Budman (Miami Herald Music Critic) at www.lawrencebudman.com:

Indeed, he is a real virtuoso on that instrument.

Miami Herald:

David Dolata provided elegant, beautifully integrated support on the lute.

Goldberg Magazine:

The solo theorbo pieces demonstrate considerable musical maturity and skills on the instrument by both Victor Coelho and David Dolata.

Gramophone:

The theorbo playing is often imaginitive and occasionally prosaic.

The Spokesman-Review (Spokane, Washington):

I could have listened to him play all night.

International Record Review:

Dolata and Coelho are sure-figured and refined lutenists.... The instrumental accompaniment for all the songs is superb. The theorbo’s clear, deep, saturated tones make it well suited for accompanying the voice, but the continuo is further enriched by the addition of a second theorbo, the tiorbino, an archlute and a harpsichord in different combinations, providing inventive and sensitive figured bass realisations.

Lute News:

All [duos] are beautifully performed by Dolata and Coelho with - crisp sense of rhythm, neat passage
work, beautifully clear contrapuntal lines and nicely judged contrasts in dynamics.
